As I have pointed out numerous times in the past, the phrase \u201cI don&#8217;t believe that p\u201d is ambiguous between belief in not-p and lack of belief in p. However the similar phrase for knowledge, \u201cI don&#8217;t know that p\u201d is not similarly ambiguous.
