However, we have now succeeded in<br \/>\ncarrying out repeated recloning in themouse through<br \/>\na somatic cell nuclear transfer method that includes<br \/>\na histone deacetylase inhibitor. The cloning ef\ufb01ciency<br \/>\ndidnotdecreaseover 25 generations, and, todate,we<br \/>\nhave obtained more than 500 viable offspring from<br \/>\na single original donor mouse. The reprogramming<br \/>\nef\ufb01ciency also did not increase over repeated rounds<br \/>\nof nuclear transfer, and we did not see the accumula-<br \/>\ntion of reprogramming errors or clone-speci\ufb01c abnor-<br \/>\nmalities.
