He&#8217;s a loose cannon, and while this is probably not his conscious goal, the function of his criticism is just to waste knowledgeable people&#8217;s time responding to random claims.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jonatan Pallesen (<a href=\"https:\/\/heterodoxthinking.substack.com\/\">blog<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jonatanpallesen\">Twitter<\/a>) looks at some data in detail with regards to specific claims: <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/kzy5i\">Taleb is wrong about IQ<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Pallesen is a PhD in human genetics with a couple of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Jonatan_Pallesen\">recent publications about intelligence<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Sean Last with an earlier reply and broader take: <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.ph\/PCvgk\">Nassim Taleb on IQ<\/a> (archived version because posts were later deleted for private reasons)<\/li>\n<li>James Thompson (<a href=\"https:\/\/thompsonj.substack.com\/\">blog<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JamesPsychol\/\">Twitter<\/a>) with an entire series of replies: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unz.com\/jthompson\/swanning-about-fooled-by-algebra\/\">Swanning About: Fooled by Algebra?<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unz.com\/jthompson\/in-the-wake-of-the-swan\/\">In the Wake of the Swan<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unz.com\/jthompson\/the-intelligent-investor\/\">The Intelligent Investor<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unz.com\/jthompson\/the-wages-of-intellect-part-2\/\">The Wages of Intellect (Part 2)<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>James Thompson is a former lecturer of sorts at University College London, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/James_Thompson5\">has many publications on intelligence<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Captain Barf&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/WOse2\">Everything Wrong With Taleb&#8217;s IQ Blog Post<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I am sure there were some more replies, maybe these were Twitter threads or something.
