He&#8217;s an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tudelft.nl\/en\/tpm\/about-the-faculty\/departments\/values-technology-and-innovation\/people\/associate-professors\/profdr-mr-mark-alfano\/\">associate professor of philosophy at Delft University of Technology<\/a>. Mark did not enjoy it one bit:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/ruined-forever.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8613\" src=\"https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/ruined-forever.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"692\" height=\"631\" srcset=\"https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/ruined-forever.png 692w, https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/ruined-forever-300x274.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 692px) 100vw, 692px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, in these woke times, this kind of thing is not too unusual. <a href=\"https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/?p=8147\">A student of physiognomy<\/a> would not be surprised &#8212; this is Mafia Mark&#8217;s own chosen photo for Twitter:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/contempt-master.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8615\" src=\"https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/contempt-master.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"364\" height=\"510\" srcset=\"https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/contempt-master.png 364w, https:\/\/emilkirkegaard.dk\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/contempt-master-214x300.png 214w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 364px) 100vw, 364px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20191005160648\/https:\/twitter.com\/moral_psych\">He swapped it recently, but the internet doesn&#8217;t forget that easily.<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>It gets better though! It turns out that Mark Alfano is not only <a href=\"https:\/\/leiterreports.typepad.com\/blog\/2020\/01\/peer-reviewed-journal-publishes-a-peer-reviewed-paper-some-people-dont-like.html\">an internet tough guy<\/a>, but he recently was awarded a grant to study nothing else than intellectual humility!
